Product Description

This advanced support shoe features Brooks' groundbreaking MoGo midsole for a soft, cushy first feel that lasts, increased energy return, and incredible cushioning--without any sacrifice in stability. Thermo-regulating, silver-infused linings ensure thermal balance, while fluid-filled HydroFlow cushioning units pamper the heel and forefoot. With a PDRB to progressively control mild to moderate pronation, the Trance 6 offers a hypnotic combination of cushioning, comfort and support.

Amazon.com Product Description
Nothing is spared in the Trance™ 7. It's a captivating combination of Brooks' best technologies, most luxurious materials, and stepped-up styling. The incredible cushioning of our full-length MoGo midsole and smooth stability of the PDRB (Progressive Diagonal Roll Bar) only hint at its wealth of features. From sockliner to heel counter, no detail is overlooked and no indulgence is excluded.

5 out of 5 stars Not used for running, but a comfortable sneaker.   October 28, 2008
Timothy G. Blum (Amherst, NY)
I will preface by saying I dislike running, a lot, have never used this sneaker for running (I'm a 20-25 mile per day cyclist), and don't plan to. I do like the comfort of these sneakers for casual wear and walking the dog. My old sneakers were Asics Gel Kayano 13's which worked out great. These, while fitting differently, are very comfortable in their own right. The toe-box is the main difference that I've noticed. The Brooks has a more open toe-box and seems like it has better contact with the ground (although it doesn't really feel like there is less cushioning, just a better interface). This might help runners "feel" the ground as they run, and I've found Brooks to be even more specialized to running than Asics-a local specialized athletic shoe store seemed to always push Brooks. Everything else seems fine for a higher price-point shoe: construction, materials, look are all top-notch. I ended up not getting the Gel Kayano 14's at the local sneaker store because although the retail prices were almost identical, the Brooks were on sale for $30 cheaper. Then, after buying them and taking them home, I looked on Amazon and found them here for $20 less than that. Throw in Prime overnight shipping for $4 and you have a pretty nice deal.

4 out of 5 stars Great shoe, a little different from v.6   October 13, 2008
B. Webb (VA)
This is another great shoe, but it feels a little different from v.6 (which I've owned multiple pairs of) -- at least that is what a blister on my foot tells me, where I never had a blister before (left side of my right foot, neat the ball of my foot). I'm breaking them in, they have over 50, I'll try them out at Marine Corps marathon in a few weeks...

This shoe has a little more ventilation, other than that, its almost the same as v.6 -- We will see how it fares in a few weeks! If it doesn't work out, perhaps I will try out v.8, or try a different pair of shoes.

5 out of 5 stars Good running shoe!   October 12, 2008
Kim C. (St. Louis, MO USA)
My husband has foot problems - needs good stability due to a broken heel years back. He had always worn Asics (Kayano, I think - whatever the $120-$135 ones are). Got these for a great price, and he really likes them, so bought a 2nd pair!!

4 out of 5 stars Great Ride and Long Lasting   October 3, 2008
W. Gehrlein (Bridgeville, PA)
This has been my 3rd pair of Trance 7's and I love them. They look great and give me the support I need. These things are tanks that can handle anything you throw at them. I'm going to wear these until I can't find them. These are a tad on the heavy side and provide a dense cushion rather than a "cushy" cushion. I prefer these over the Brooks Infiniti and the Asics Kayano 13's.

5 out of 5 stars Brooks Trance 7 Running Sneaker Review   September 1, 2008
B. WILSON (Sydney Australia)
Found the Brooks to be true to size and a really comfortable fit. Excellent support, stability and cushioning for a light weight shoe. This is my 5th Trance and they just keep getting better. Amazon service was excellent yet again.
