5 out of 5 stars Very comfortable and stable   August 6, 2008
J. Luu (Colorado Springs, CO)
This is my first new pair of running shoes in a while. Took me a long time to choose this model. I tend to over pronate and this is one of the few models of shoes that I find very comfortable and stable. The toe box is also a bit wider than other Asics if you don't like that cramped toe feeling. Cushioning is excellent. My knee and back usually hurts after a long run with my old shoes, this pair alleviated much of the discomfort. Its impossible to make a recommendation on running shoes because the fit is so personal. But this model is definitely worth a test run.

5 out of 5 stars Comfort running!   July 31, 2008

I purchased these shoes being a huge fan of Asics trail running shoes. I was looking for something lighter, more breathable, and comfortable, and that's what I found in these shoes. I can log multiple miles on grass or pavement, and they still feel great! No pressure points or weird fit, I am happy with these shoes, and I think they look better than the Nimbus 10's, but that's just my opinion. (they're cheaper, too!)

3 out of 5 stars Long time Nimbus wearer   July 3, 2008

I finally ran out of online sources to purchase Gel Nimbus VII last year, so I "upgraded" to the IX.
I have since put on 188 miles on these shoes. A few things I have noticed:
1) initially I got many hotspots on the shoes as these seem a lot tighter in the front than my previous ones.
2) they feel lighter
3) I have recently noticed holes appearing in the left ankle support area on both shoes.

As I have only run in Asics, I feel brand-stuck and therefore find these shoes overall decent. I think there were some mistakes with the IXs which were probably/hopefully fixed with the Xs.
If you have run in the Nimbus' before, I would use these shoes. However, if you have not been sized professional, I would not take the risk online with these.

4 out of 5 stars Good cushion shoe   June 23, 2008
Jim R. Gutzwiller (Elm Creek, NE)
I've put 50 miles on them so far and I am pretty happy with them. I ran Asics GT 2090 before which are more for stability and I think the Nimbus gives about the same support at a lighter weight. The fit is good and I had no rub points. I hope that the 10's stay close to the 9's becuase I will buy this line again.

5 out of 5 stars Very comfortable and light / perfect fitting   June 23, 2008
Jose Gonzalez (Miami, FL United States)
This is a very comfortable and light shoe. I use them to run and also to travel. Sizes are rather small, so make sure you order at least half a size larger than you'd normally wear.
