Broke twice November 5, 2008 Bosch (Cali, Colombia) I bought this shoes, because the older models I had were fine for me. But this one broke twice in less than six months. I'm 1.75 mt tall and 72 kg. weight, so nothing unusual. First, I bought a pair and the adiprene capsule in the heel broke after one month. I didn't notice that until I had a very bad pain in my left knee after three months and remembered that when the shoes are wet they made a noise in the heel. Well, one defective pair of shoes can happen... since they are made in China. The shoes were in the guarantee period, so I received a new pair in two weeks. After one month I washed them and felt the noise again. They broke again in the same place. Otherwise, the shoes are fine: light, good cushion and breathability. I was a big fan of Adidas, but I see that they are not paying special attention to the quality, and they should. It's not the quality Adidas used to deliver some years ago. So, bye bye Adistar, hello Asics nimbus.
Best Shoes Ever. November 1, 2008 M. Yu (Boston, MA USA) The best running shoes ever. Wearing the shoes, I can walk for 1 hour without feeling any pain.
Rocks! Get outa my shoe! September 22, 2008 P. Chenoweth (Rochester, MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The shoe is well cushioned and light, however... It has some holes in the tread that collect small rocks if running on a trail. I blame this on poor testing of the shoe. If you run on the road or side walk, it's a none issue. For us road/trail runners...it's a problem.
Like Wearing Slippers August 19, 2008 Steve O (minnesota) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Admittedly, I just received these and have not had the opportunity to run in them yet, but if a short stroll around the house is any indication on how these shoes will feel when I do, they are terrific. They truly felt as if I was wearing a pair of slippers. They are very conformable, light weight, with good support in the heal and arch. I just hope they are as good as when I first put them on out of the box!
Fantastic June 26, 2008 Derek D. Bergey (Los Angeles) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have the exact shoe that's above, the shoe breathes, is wonderful because of it's ability to help cool your feet down. I live in Los Angeles, it gets flippin hot here, but I never felt like my foot was burning, also, It's all pavement running for me, so while this shoe is a little heavy, I had Reebok DMX's with running insoles before this pair, and after running 6 miles in the adistar, no extra pad was needed. My knee didn't bother me, (I clomp steps.) Anyone who runs on street surfaces, who wants to keep their shins and knee's intact I would say this is a definate buy. One complaint, the blue on the inside and the back could use some help, as it's a little....hard to match. But, if it meant that much to you, you could get a marker.
