My son loves it December 19, 2008 Shannon Morgan (Tulare, CA USA) The chocolate flavor in it is obvious, so my son loves it. It's no problem getting him to take his omega-3 supplement.
WIth a "Hint" of chocolate August 11, 2008 K. Chumley (Maryland) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been using Coromega Omega-3 supplement for several months with good results. But, I recently ordered the supplement with a "hint" of chocolate since I am a die-hard chocolate lover. What a mistake! The hint of chocolate is the worse combination with the orange flavor and I almost gag with each dose. I am trying to decide if I should throw out the box or just suffer through the next 80 packets.

Preservative used is potential cause of ADHD in kids May 31, 2008 A. Jeng (CA, USA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I don't want to sound like an alarmist but I have been feeding my two kids with this product for the last 6 months. Then one day, I read the label on the box. Two preservatives in the ingredients stand out. The first is Potassium Sorbate, and the other Sodium Benzoate. I searched the web and found in [...] on both of these preservatives. Potassium Sorbate is a safe preservative against molds and yeasts. But in 2007 a UK's Food Standards Agency published a research suggests that Sodium Benzoate is linked to "hyperactive behaviour and decreased intelligence in children." In addition, Professor Peter Piper of the University of Sheffield claims that sodium benzoate by itself can damage and inactivate vital parts of DNA in a cell's mitochondria. ""The mitochondria consumes the oxygen to give you energy and if you damage it - as happens in a number of diseased states - then the cell starts to malfunction very seriously. And there is a whole array of diseases that are now being tied to damage to this DNA - Parkinson's and quite a lot of neuro-degenerative diseases, but above all the whole process of aging" Based on these studies and warnings, I decided to stop giving this product to my kids. These studies may turn out to be untrue in years to come. But I do not want to give it the benefit of doubt.
Okay, but not my favorite flavor February 20, 2008 MamaBear007 (Utah) I bought this because I heard that Omega-3 can help with skin disorders, and an allergic reaction to my medications gave me a very severe rash. I first tried fish oil capsules, which made my rash worse. This actually helped with the rash, so it serves it's purpose. However, I have to force myself to eat it every day. Because I liked the orange flavor, and because I really love chocolate, I thought I'd like this even more than the plain orange flavor. Boy was I wrong. This is one time I wish I weren't so frugal; unfortunately, it's to expensive to waste. I'll finish it because it does help with my rash. But when it's gone, I'm going back to the plain orange flavor. For those that dislike the flavor as much as I do, making sure it's stored in the coldest part of my fridge does make it a bit more palatable. I still don't like the flavor, but when it's cold, at least I can tolerate it.
