Acorn slipper socks January 7, 2009 P Coffee (FL) I sent these back because the top was so small that my husband could not pull them over his feet. They were size XL. The foot part looked large enough, but the top was so small (narrow)and did would not expand to go over the foot. My six year old granddaughter tried to get them on and she could not even get them over her foot.
Ruggedly attractive ~~ January 6, 2009 Bellevue Buyer (Bellevue, WA USA)
A little crudely made, and these also seem to run quite large in the sizing. This is a 'basic' slipper sock; rugged!
Best Sock/Shoe combo available December 25, 2008 Gregory A. Smith (Wyoming) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had 2 pair of these Acorn socks...in 20 years! Got the first pair from my daughter (wife) her first Christmas. Today (Christmas 2008) I got my 3rd pair. They keep improving them with each successive generation. Since winter lasts 6 months here, I wear these every evening and weekend for 6 mos. My wife has repaired the toe on the first 2 pair...at about the 6 year mark. Remarkable...You will like these if you want to keep your feet warm, but run out to the mailbox or into the garage sometimes with them on. Great product.
Acorns not what they used to be December 25, 2008 Slothead (RI, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The new "Made in China" Acorns my son and I received for Christmas are not NEARLY as nice as our old "Made in Maine, USA" versions: smaller overall, with much cheaper feeling leather and foam footbed. They're going back; I guess they don't make 'em like they used to. Shame...
Slipper Sock December 12, 2008 Harry Lawson (Kent, Washington USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This item appears to be of reasonably good quality. However, I ordered the size 12 wide and could not even get the sock over my feet much less get into the slipper. Clearly sizing is an issue, at least for those with size 12 feet.
