W992 December 20, 2008 Alexandra (New York, NY) Very good shoe, but not as good a fit as the NB 842. I have narrow feet. The 842 AA width was a great fit. The 992 AA is too narrow in the front of the shoe, though perfect in the heel. the 992 B width is fine at the toes, but the heel is too wide.
Well worth their price, whatever you pay! December 6, 2008 Adrienne G.B. (Dallas, TX) This is an excellent pair of running shoes. Whether you spend $100 or $150 on them, they are worth it. The fit is true to size. I sometimes have to size up 1/2 to 1 size in New Balance, but not with the 992s. They give great support while running. They were comfortable after the first run, so give them a day to get 'broken in.' My feet never hurt after a run and aren't sore the day after as with a lot of shoes. They are also quite striking as far as running shoes go. I have the Navy/Grey combination and have gotten a lot of compliments on them. My sister (who is also a runner) likes them so much that she has requested a pair for Christmas.
Very comfortable December 2, 2008 NYC Mom (NY, NY) Very well made sneakers that are really comfortable and hold up well. This is my 2nd pair.
My Second Pair November 2, 2008 Deanna Alpert (NY) After going to TIP TOP, a shoe store on 72nd Street in New York, and being carefully fitted by Harold for these same sneakers at $150 a pair + tax, I knew which size was right for me and was able to order my second pair from Amazon in the same size. What could be nicer?
Wonderful shoes!!! August 3, 2008 J. Page (Knightdale, NC United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
These are some of the most comfortable shoes I own. I have trouble finding good tennis shoes due to my arch. I own a very large collection of Dansko's for that reason. I will buy the 992's again, maybe in another color. :) True to size. Worth the money!!
