Product Description
The Bean Pod utilizes a simple design and sturdy, lasting materials that result in a flexible worry-free Nike+ Sensor Holder. Made by a runner for runners, the elastic stretches with the movement of your foot for a comfortable run while still providing a tight fit to maintain an accurate read. The No-Velcro design ensures that your Nike+ Senor will not be lost due to dirt and debris building in the Velcro or simply bumping into something on a walk or hike - problems that all Velcro designs cannot avoid. The Bean Pod Nike+ Sensor Holder also allows easy access to your sensor so that it may be switched from Pod to Pod without untying your shoelaces. Each pack comes with 2 Bean Pods because most runners have more than 1 pair of shoes.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome inexpensive alternative   February 15, 2010
S. Simmons
This invention is not only time saving, but money saving. This idea keeps avid runners from purchasing shoes with the Nike+ and just lace up and run. It works by slipping the sensor in the pouch, which fastens to the shoe-strings in your shoes. With this invention, a runner can get the stats on his/her workout with spending extra on Nike+ shoes! Plus, they are inexpensive! Highly Recommended

4 out of 5 stars Shipping was slow   January 31, 2010

The product is exactly what I thought it would be. The shipping on this product was really slow and communication was minimal after my order was placed. Wasn't the best experience I've had but wasn't the worst either.

4 out of 5 stars Works great and is secure   January 7, 2010
Bo Ahlberg (Carnation, WA USA)
The Bean Pod is a very secure and effective bit of kit for holding your Nike Sensor on your non-Nike+ shoe. I use mine on a pair of New Balance 1011s and it holds the Sensor in securely. I've logged in about 250Km since lacing the Bean Pod on my shoes and I've never had any concerns. Likes:
Secure,
Pretty low profile, and
Reasonably nice looking

Dislikes (truly nits):
Attaching the pod means practically un-lacing and re-lacing the shoe (you get 2 bean pods so this shouldn't be a problem).
Its inconvenient to move the sensor to another pair of shoes (solution if you need to doe this, buy 2nd sensor).

5 out of 5 stars Nike iPod sensor holder   December 28, 2009

This holder works great. Easy to install on the shoe and just as easy to insert the sensor. Don't worry about losing the sensor because it will not fall out or bounce out. My iPod has no problem reading the sensor at all. I have one on both pair my shoes so it is easy to switch between the pair of shoes. The price is very reasonable

4 out of 5 stars Pretty good   December 5, 2009
Josh Hoevelmann
This is a pretty good concept. The price was good for two. It's very important to lace them as tight to your shoe as possible. I found that the sensor is accurate within about .15 of a mile over a 6 mile run. I'm still gonna try some Nike shoes sometime to see the difference in accuracy. But sensor is very secure. It's not coming out unless you take it out. It's also very protect for splashes of water and dirt. If you don't like Nike running shoes, this is a good way to go to use the Nike Plus sensor.
